Artsplosure's Spring Arts Festival is Raleigh's original and longest running arts festival. Held annually on the third weekend of May in beautiful downtown Raleigh, the festival is a 2 day event and features an Art Market comprised of approximately 175 juried visual artists from across the United States showcasing works in ceramics, glass, fiber art, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, wood and more. The festival presents national and regional entertainment on two stages, provides arts-based activities for children, and presents large-scale temporary art installations each year. Annual festival attendance averages 75,000+.

Voted Western NC’s favorite art event for nearly a decade, The Big Crafty celebrates the beauty of a human-scale economy and community-building, soul-enriching creative work. It features the work of 150 carefully-selected artists, makers and crafters who embody the dynamism of the independent creative community.

Now in its 54th year, Craft + Design is a museum-quality show that has garnered a reputation for showcasing the finest in contemporary craft. Awards are presented in ceramics, precious metals, glass, wood and recycled materials, contemporary design, innovative use of traditional craft materials and fiber. We also honor artists with the New Artist Award and the Best Booth Design Award. Last year’s Elisabeth Scott Bocock Best in Show Award went to glass artist Robin Kittleson.

The 54th annual event will take place November 16-18, 2018 at Main Street Station’s newly renovated train shed.

You’ll find unique works of art and fine craft from more than 100 contemporary fine craft artists who have travelled from across North Carolina and the U.S. to the heart of downtown Raleigh.

Since 1974, the Durham Arts Council has brought the Durham community together with CenterFest. As Durham’s signature arts festival, CenterFest showcases juried visual artists from near and far, and fills multiple stages with music, dance, and more from local performers. Serious art shoppers will be dazzled by world-class ceramics, paintings, jewelry, fiber art, woodwork, and everything in between – much of it from Durham and Triangle-based creators.

Singers, dance troupes, choirs, bands, jugglers, magicians, and performers of every stripe will provide continuous entertainment throughout the weekend. Kids will have a blast at the Creative Kids Zone, food vendors will keep guests fueled for fun, and Durham’s inspiring nonprofit and government services sector will be on hand connecting with the community they serve. It all takes place in the heart of Durham’s historic downtown, a hub of local businesses and foodie culture that elevates the visitor experience!

The World of Bluegrass event will attract over 6,000 national and international traditional music performers, presenters, and fans — in addition to over 75,000 local attendees anticipated for the two-day Wide Open Bluegrass festival.
