I know you are probably tired of receiving all kinds of emails related to COVID-19 outbreaks this past week, from the cancellation of your spring trips to how large corporations are informing their customers how they are coping with the economical impacts from the pandemic.

The world is a scary place now, everyone’s anxiety level is at high-stakes. How can we keep living our lives and find some kind of balance to survive from all these without losing our mind?

1.Life goes on while practicing social distancing: There are a lot of us cooped up in the house and trying to reduce the chance to interact with the general public, it’s the best way to prevent catching the virus. However, small businesses are suffering, craft shows are canceled, restaurants and bricks and mortar shops are losing customers.  We need your support more than ever! If you can help, on-line shopping and on-line takeout orders are available in most small businesses.

I care about the well-being of my jewelry lovers, for each on-line order I receive, I disinfect the jewelry before sending to your way, enjoy coupon code COVID19 to receive 19% off on any jewelry order at checkout! (Limited time offer ends on March 19)

2. Take a mental break from social media & news: I know it’s so hard not to look at your social media especially when you are stuck at home, but seeing everyone is posting about their concerns and fears on social medias can get overwhelming and escalate your anxiety real quick, news channels and NPR are also overloaded with all kinds of COVID-19 related negative newses.  Yesterday, I decided to leave my phone in the house, and work on our yard with my husband. It felt so nice to just unplug for a few hours and enjoy the nice spring weather (minus the pollen, after all it’s the NC weather : P), plus we also got to exercise from all the gardening works.

3. Stay active & stay positive: Can’t go to the gym because it got temporarily shut down due to the outbreak? Don’t have any equipment at home? No worries, there are thousands of self-workout videos available on Youtube! My personal favorite workout YouTube channel is by FitnessBlender! Staying active will boost your immune system as well as increase the production of endorphins, which are known to help produce positive feelings and reduce the perception of pain!

4. Wash your hands like you’re washing Jason Mamoa: It makes me laugh and it’s true, washing your hands religiously at least for 20 seconds is the best way to protect yourselves and others, and don’t accidentally touch your face, eyes, nose, and mouth before you wash your hands! Hoarding toilet paper doesn’t protect you from getting COVID-19!

5. Be nice to your neighbors: We need to be kind to each other, especially during this difficult time. Ask your neighbor if they need help with groceries if they are elderly and/or with long-term health problems since they are at higher risk of getting very sick from this illness.  We offered help to our next door neighbors, they are both over age 80+, and we gave them our phone number if they ever needed help, it’s just the right thing to do.

These are my two-cents to help you get through this crazy time, I hope you can find it helpful and informative! We are all in this together!!!

Please take care and stay safe,

XOXO,
